Inspiring Inkin's Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Inspiring Inkin' Sale-a-bration Blog Hop. We hope you will find that we have each created amazing projects using exclusive stamp sets which you will be able to earn during the Sale-a-bration (SAB) period commencing 30 December 2009 through to 28 February 2010! For every £45 you spend during this period, you will receive any one of four exclusive SAB stamp sets. Do contact me to place an order, book a workshop, or find out about classes.

Each participating blog will have a bird cage logo, and at the end of the post, you will see a link to the next blog on the hop. Eventually you will come full circle back to your starting point. I hope you have a wonderful time on your journey. Please leave comments as you visit, we would love to know what you think of our projects.

For those who have joined us from Vannessa's Blog....WELCOME!

Both my projects are cards and here is the first one.

The SAB set I chose to pre-order is Whimsical Words. What better way to showcase "the more candles, the bigger the wish" sentiment than with this card.

Here is a better view of the tiers from above.
Recipe:

Stamps: On a Pedestal, Queue Up (Hostess Level 3), Whimsical Words
Ink: Lavender Lace Classic Ink; Markers -So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst, Lavender Lace,Only Orange, Rose Red

Papers: Whisper White, Almost Amethyst, scraps of Elegant Eggplant, Pretty in Pink, Tea Party DSP

Accessories: Pretty in Pink gingham ribbon, 1/4" Whisper White grosgrain, 1/4" Elegant Eggplant grosgrain, Pretty in Pink taffetta ribbon, paper trimmer, snail, dimensionals, stampamajig

For my second project, I chose to do a Valentine card. Before you know it, February will be upon us. It certainly makes a change from Christmas!!

This is what the card looks like when closed.

When opened, it looks like this. The Bridesmaid cardstock is foiled backed and the parts which are "shiny" resists ink. As I wanted all of the wording to show, I stamped on to Very Vanilla card stock, punched out the stamped image with a large oval punch and then adhered to the Bridesmaid card stock.

Recipe:

Stamps: Love You Much, Whimsical Words

Ink: Rose Red

Papers: Rose Red, Bridesmaid, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Trimmer, snips, dimensionals, Heart to Heart punch, Large Oval punch, Craft knife, self-healing cutting mat, sponge dauber, Very Vanilla taffetta ribbon

Anyone leaving a comment will be entered into a prize draw which will be drawn on Monday at noon on 4th January 2010. The winner will receive the stamped images, card stock, brads, and ribbons to make the two cards above which will include a set of instructions. Tools and adhesive are not supplied. In addition you will receive a reel of ribbon and some 6" x 6" Designer Series Papers.
